Many of these images were shot quite early on in my photographic aspirations. Nevertheless they mean a great deal to me not only because of admiration for what Simon and Monique Gudgeon have since achieved with this microcosm of all that is beautiful about Dorset in the UK, in creating a remarkable sculpture park, nor is it because we proudly possess some of Simon’s wonderful work. It is to its greatest extent because I have been fortunate to spend so much time enjoying the spirit of the place over the years, and it is without doubt the part of England I miss most since heading for the shores of the United States.
