I had spotted the potential for this shot several days before it was taken. On the first evening there was cloud which blocked out the sun just before it reached the horizon. On the second evening the gap in the foliage was blocked by several sunset watchers gazing out to sea. Third time lucky!
The final image was the result of a 5 frame HDR at 1 stop differential per frame
