I have been asked to sit on a panel of three judges for a forthcoming wildlife photography competition being organised jointly by Sculpture By The Lakes and Dorset Magazine. Quite an exciting change of perspective for me, and something I am really looking forward to.
Following the announcement of this newfound role as an arbiter of all that is wonderful in wildlife photography, I was also asked to prepare an article for Dorset Magazine, to introduce Art in Nature. This has now been published, and provides the details necessary for participation in the competition being run in conjunction with Sculpture by the Lakes until 14th August 2017.
For those who do not have access to Dorset Magazine, and for whom the image of the double page article was not sufficiently legible, here are the criteria for the competition.
Sculpture by the Lakes, in my experience, provides beautiful habitat for some of the most diverse of nature’s bounty, in Dorset and beyond, all living in harmony with the spectacular creations of renowned sculptor Simon Gudgeon. I urge everyone with any interest in nature photography to participate in Art in Nature. I wish everyone enjoyment and success, and I eagerly await the viewing of all the submissions.
